What do I want to be when I grow up?
This series is a theatrical dream about those first, sincere rehearsals of life, when the whole world fit in a folding box with paper dolls and their outfits. I'm returning to a room where the rustling of paper and pencil sketches became a stage, where every turned page was a set, and every new outfit was a role. In children's games, professions changed as easily as costumes on a mannequin: today you're a hero, tomorrow you're a traveler, and the day after tomorrow you're a scientist or an artist. These changes are the first attempts to write one's own biography, rehearsals of fate in front of the mirror of the world.
Here the photographer is at the same time a director, a writer and a poet of visual: I create a space where children's play becomes a model of growing up, where dreams of professions serve as a canvas for exploring identity, desire and transformation. The work invites the viewer to remember their first roles, to recognize the impermanence and value of the experiment - it is in the attempts and changes that the unique outfit of our adult life is born.
The series translates children's fantasies and stories into visual theater, where words take on volume and time, photographs become stages, and each image becomes a line in a grand poetic narrative of personal growth. It is a project about the режиссура воспоминаний и о том, как через игру мы создаем сюжет своей жизни. The tone of the series is nostalgic but not sentimental; it is exploratory, romantic, and slightly ironic.
